Food poisoning is an illness caused by eating food or drink that is contaminated with certain
types of bacteria,parasites,viruses or toxins. Symptoms can vary from mild to severe. Symptoms are
said to be as very ‘Dangerous’ as doctor cannot cure it properly with the medication. So you can
try out these homely methods for getting rid of food poisoning if you or any of your close ones suffer.
Drink 1 cup of ginger tea after eating lunch or dinner to stop heart burn, nausea and other
symptoms associated with food poisoning. To prepare ginger tea, boil 1tsp. grated ginger in a
cup of water for a few minutes and add sugar and it is ready to drink.
-Add few drops of ginger juice to 1 tbsp. of honey and swallow it several times to reduce
inflammation and pain.
It is effective in fighting food poisoning, hence it relieves symptoms such as diarrhoea and
-Drink garlic juice.
-Eat a fresh garlic clove, swallow it with water.
-You can make mixture of garlic oil and soyabean oil rub it on your stomach after eating.
It gives so much relief due to its properties content like inflammatory antiviral and anti-
bacterial. The acid in lemons helps in killing the bacteria that causes food poisoning.
-Add a pinch of sugar to 1 tbsp. of lemon juice and drink it 2-3 times a day.
-Try also sipping on warm water with lemon juice to clean your digestive system.
#Apple Cider Vinegar:-
It has an alkaline effect due to the way it is metabolized in the body and it can sooth the
gastrointestinal lining and kill bacteria, and gives you instant relief.
-Mix 2 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar in a cup of hot water and drink it before eating any solid
food to prevent acid.
-You can also drink 2 tbsp. of individual apple cider vinegar.
